Getting Started with the BBOX Home
Follow the steps below to successfully activate and configure your BBOX Home within the BBOLT platform. For the physical installation (power, network, and connection), see the Quick Start Guide at the bottom of this page.
Create an account
Create a BBOLT account to access the platform.
- Web app: app.bbolt.com/signup
- Android: Get it on Google Play
Please note: The iOS app is currently still in development. For now, please use the web app.
Register location and grid connection
Before you can pair the BBOX, its physical location must be registered.
- Log in to the app
- Don't have a location yet? Create one first using the link to ChargeUp
- Register your grid connection and sign the contract via ChargeUp

Configure the system
Once your account and location are active and the BBOX is connected, you can begin the setup process.
- In the (web) app, go to Settings.
- Select " Configure System."
- Follow the steps in the setup wizard.
Please have your BBOX serial number handy (located on the front, e.g., 36:CD:B0…).

What do I need to install the BBOX Home?
You will need a working internet connection, a smart meter (P1), and a suitable power outlet. The exact requirements are listed in the Quick Start Guide.
What exactly does the BBOX Home do for my energy consumption?
The BBOX Home intelligently manages your energy consumption and storage. This allows you to use more of the energy you generate yourself and helps you save money or even earn extra income through flexibility services.
How do I know if my BBOX Home is working properly?
The app provides real-time insights into performance, status, and usage. In addition, LED indicators on the device itself display the system’s status.
What should I do if the BBOX Home won't connect?
First, check your internet connection and power supply. If the problem persists, refer to the Quick Start Guide or contact support.
