What is the difference between BoltEMS and other EMS systems?
Most EMS systems work only in the cloud and steer by averages within a portfolio. BoltEMS works differently: it forecasts, monitors and controls individually per asset, supported by a local gateway (Bbox).
This allows the system to respond in real time, even without an Internet connection, and gets more efficiency from peak reduction, trading and energy use per plant.
How does BoltEMS help with grid congestion or limited connections?
BoltEMS uses real-time data to smartly balance consumption and storage. When peaks threaten, the system automatically directs to temporarily discharge or store locally to reduce grid load.
This allows you to realize more charge points, production or storage without increasing the load on your connection, and meet the requirements of the grid operator.
Can BoltEMS work with existing batteries or inverters?
Yes. BoltEMS is brand-independent and supports a wide range of protocols and APIs. It can integrate with existing systems, batteries, charging stations and PV installations without the need to replace hardware.
Through the Bbox gateway, the platform translates data streams into one unified control, regardless of manufacturer.
How secure is the data and communication within BoltEMS?
All communications are encrypted and comply with European guidelines such as ISO 27001 and NIS2. Data is stored and processed within the EU.
In addition, the local Bbox ensures that control continues to work even during network failures, so you are never dependent on a single connection or remote server.
What does BoltEMS provide financially?
